A Lil’ Bit About Me~

heyyyyyy netizens..

i have been wondering how to ‘open sesame’ this blog of mine.. then i thought it would be only appropriate to come up with an introduction of myself, purpose of this blog, and so on..

whytevee is my nickname/moniker, but you may call me V for short.. married to a dear N, mommy to  furkids Zoey and Viggo the felines.. an avid home cook, urban gardener, bookworm (not as much as when i was still in school, but still read whenever i have free time in my hands), arachnophobic (spiders), katsaridaphobic (roaches) and a movie/tv/series addict..  i am also a full time homemaker and a serial grocery shopper~ 

oh wait.. before it completely slips my mind..

i hail from Malaysia, by the way~ *waves*

entries will be mainly food related (mostly Asian, with others in between), and will be updated as regularly as i possibly can manage to.. do not expect detailed descriptions on ingredients’ measurements, however.. i don’t count every gram/litre of ingredients i use in my cooking.. my God-given gifts of sight, sense of estimation and taste buds are my tools..

no, i am not a chef, nor am i a professional in the culinary field.. just a married woman who loves to cook in her humble little kitchen in the sky and wishes to share her knowledge with the rest of the world.. i still have loads to learn in this culinary journey, and i will gladly share with anyone who wish to learn as well..

other contents will be jottings of mundane daily life and whatever else that comes to mind.. balcony gardening.. the house felines.. tips and tricks.. this.. that.. the other.. this is SO not a gossip blog.. so, if you are looking for that kind of content, please wander elsewhere~

most recent (end of 2011 onwards) photos in this blog were shot using my super trusty Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20 camera.. hence the non-DSLR quality pictures.. i don’t feel the need to jump on the DSLR wagon just yet.. if any of the photos somehow look as if they were taken using one, well, i happen to have really steady hands.. and using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to edit them helps heaps too~ *grins*

* if you wish to use any content in this site, be it photos or written copy, please be courteous and ask for my permission beforehand.. or at the very least, mention credits to this site, or place a link, or whatever.. i don’t practice copy+paste other people’s stuff and claim it as my own, so i hope others don’t do it to me as well.. i seldom play nice when provoked this way, especially as i spent much precious time and sweat producing the posts.. so, please respect this simple request of mine..
